Gateway CERH Represents at 76th Annual Perth County Municipal Association Meeting

On November 20, 2024, Gwen Devereaux, President of Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health (CERH), and Tom Melady, Retired Farmer and Gateway CERH Representative, proudly attended and presented at the 76th Annual Meeting of the Perth County Municipal Association.

This year's meeting, themed "Healthy Body/Healthy Mind", gathered a wide array of organizations and individuals passionate about advancing health and well-being in our communities. The event provided an invaluable opportunity to learn from and share with peers who are equally committed to making a difference.

Gwen and Tom represented Gateway CERH’s mission of improving rural health outcomes and shared highlights of the organization’s initiatives. Their presentation emphasized the importance of collaboration, education, and research in tackling rural health challenges.

In addition to presenting, they actively listened to inspiring stories and initiatives shared by other organizations. From municipal innovations to community-driven health projects, the meeting was a showcase of collective dedication to creating healthy, thriving communities.

The Gateway CERH team is eager to bring the insights gained back to the organization, continuing to build on their innovative approaches to rural health excellence.
